Course Overview:

The Plush Academy's Perming course is a focused, two-day intensive course that brings the artistic craft of hair perming to the forefront. This course is designed for those aspiring to master the application, styling, and maintenance of various types of perms.

Our curriculum provides a thorough understanding of hair types, the science behind perming, the application process, and aftercare. We also emphasize the balance between creativity and practical, trendy looks. Upon completion of the course, students will be equipped to recommend, apply, and style perms, enhancing their clients' style while ensuring hair health.

Who can attend: All stylists looking to perfect their perming skills. Must have completed hair school or cosmetology, and be a registered apprentice.

Day-by-Day Course Schedule:

Day One: Introduction to Perming and Mens/Short Hair Techniques

  • 9:00-10:00: Course introduction, understanding hair types and conditions for perming. An overview of the science of perming, perming products, tools, and their proper usage.
  • 10:00-12:00- Consultation & Mens Perm Demo
  • 12:00-1:00: Lunch break (Working lunch)
  • 1:00-4:00: Hands-on session: Perform a Short Perm on a model 

Day Two: Mastering Perming Techniques and Practical Assessment

  • 9:00-10:00: Theory session: Women’s trends, techniques, aftercare, and Q&A. 
  • 10:00-12:00: Practical session: Perform a perm on a long hair model
  • 12:00-1:00: Working Lunch
  • 1:00-3:30: Practical assessment: Finishing model
  • 3:30-4:00: Course review, Q&A, and certificate distribution.
